Shot on Location in Thar; a desert land in the lower region of Sindh, Pakistan. The 'tharis'; the people of thar suffer from acute shortage of water, drought, and severe weather conditions that endanger their everyday lives. The photograph therefore talks about the duality of life vs death that co-exist in this beautiful ancient landscape.
The photograph is a digital slide sandwich. I shot the kid seperately and the animal skull seperately. The reflection you see in the eye is real ... she had these beautiful, big, black, reflective eyes.

thankyou for the appreciation ... as far as your comment 'ooo i wish i could do stuff like that' ... i just wanted to share something i read somewhere that inspired me ... "the only difference between people who're out there making it big and people who aren't is that the big names actually don't stop trying ... " and i have learnt through experience that not only is this quite true, but also that nothing is impossible ... keep trying and one day you'll do better than 'waiting for tomorrow' ... : )
